Chinese Premier Leads State Council Meeting

(MENAFN) Chinese Premier Li Qiang chaired a State Council executive session on Thursday, during which he received a briefing on the extensive review of initiatives to "promote high-quality development."

The gathering also made plans to advance "provincial-level pooling of basic medical insurance," aiming to improve the efficiency and coordination of healthcare funding.

Additionally, the session examined and endorsed a draft regulation intended to "promote reading nationwide" and deliberated over a proposed revision to the legislation concerning "certified public accountants."

The report on the comprehensive evaluation of high-quality development highlighted that its purpose is to motivate all regions and departments to implement economic and social progress measures more effectively, achieving favorable outcomes, as noted during the meeting.

Officials also emphasized the importance of using the inspection findings constructively, tackling the primary issues identified, and refining policies in response to the "suggestions raised."
